My latest favorite podcast is “Jane Austen Stories”, which has Dame Julie Andrew’s narrating “Pride and Prejudice”! 🫖 Something I didn’t know I needed, but I’m enjoying so much!

One of the coolest things in life is persevering through the most challenging of times and coming out the side stronger, more confident & poised than ever before -- finding yourself through the storm rather than allowing it to discourage your soul
I just watched the '1001 Seasons of Elie Saab' show, and it was absolutely beautiful! ✨Not only to see Celine Dion perform, but there were so many gorgeous gowns. Some of my favorite looks:
Becoming Strong to Help Others: The True Power of Strength
In a world where self-care often gets misconstrued as selfishness, it's crucial to understand the profound impact of personal strength on your community.
Strength, in its truest essence, isn't just about having the physical capacity to lift weights or endure long hours at work. It's about cultivating a robust foundation in every aspect of life—physically, mentally, spiritually, and financially—so that you can extend your hand to others in need.
It truly is selfish to be weak if you can help it.
Physical Strength 💪
Physical strength is more than just aesthetics or personal health; it's about capability. When you're physically strong, you're better equipped to assist in times of crisis, whether it's helping a neighbor move furniture or responding effectively in emergencies.
Physical fitness and strength also boosts your confidence and mental health, reducing stress and increasing resilience.
If you're strong, you can carry more than just your load; you can help carry the burdens of others too.
Mental Strength 🧠
Mental fortitude is perhaps the most crucial type of strength. It's about resilience, emotional intelligence, and the capacity to remain calm under pressure. The world is always going to put pressure on you no matter who you are!
When you're mentally strong, you're not only better at managing your own life but also at supporting those around you.
You become a pillar others can lean on, offering wisdom, patience, and a listening ear. Mental strength allows you to navigate life's challenges without draining others of their energy or positivity. But most importantly it allows you to find success.
Spiritual Strength 🙏
Spiritual strength might differ from person to person, but it means you have a sense of purpose, moral integrity, and compassion. Most important = you have faith despite a scary world. This form of strength fosters a deep connection with yourself and your community.
It guides actions towards altruism rather than self-interest. When spiritually strong, you're motivated by a desire to improve the world around you, seeing service to others not as a burden but as a fulfillment of one's existence.
Financial Strength 💸
Financial independence is often overlooked in discussions about strength, yet it's vital.
Why? Because financial strength means you don't have to rely on others for your basic needs, allowing you to give without expecting anything in return.
It's about being in a position where you can donate time, money, or resources without worrying about your own stability.
Financial strength isn't about hoarding wealth but about your freedom to exercise your strength, perhaps empowering others, whether through charity, supporting local businesses, or mentoring those in financial distress.
The Selfishness of Weakness
So the hard truth: being weak is inherently selfish if you can help it.
When you're weak—physically, mentally, spiritually, or financially—you're often in a position where you're taking from others rather than contributing, draining friends/family of their energy, time, or resources. Dependency can turn you into a liability rather than an asset to those around you.
This isn't to say that everyone who faces challenges is selfish; rather, it's a call to recognize that striving for strength in all areas of life is not just a personal journey but a communal responsibility.
Conclusion 📕
Becoming strong in every facet of your life is not just about self-improvement; it's about community enhancement.
Strength allows you to be a beacon of support, a source of inspiration, and a wellspring of help when it's needed most. Let's shift the narrative from strength as a means of personal gain to strength as a tool for communal good.
