Speaking of job research relatable moments, we have one story for you.
So this guy, let's call him Tunde. Tunde is you. Tunde is me. Tunde is your cousin who just changed his LinkedIn headline to "Open to opportunities in Canada."
๐งต๐
Nobody can promise you a visa. But you can have a clear plan.
The moment Tunde switches to our app, yes he's still applying, but now he's applying with a plan, a shortlist and zero "agents."

Your turn: what's the most Nigerian thing that's happened during YOUR job hunt? ๐๐

Speaking of job research relatable moments, we have one story for you.
So this guy, let's call him Tunde. Tunde is you. Tunde is me. Tunde is your cousin who just changed his LinkedIn headline to "Open to opportunities in Canada."

If you're Tunde right now, hear this:
A rejection isn't a verdict on you. Often it's the wrong job, the wrong country for your path, or a step nobody told you about.
You're not slow. You're just doing it without a map.
That's why we built Viaspora.
An app where you can pick your country, choose "Worker", and you get a step-by-step roadmap plus a job board, so you know your next move instead of applying blindly.
Here's the part nobody posts about. The job hunt isn't only stressful, it's lonely.
You start doubting your degree, your experience, and even yourself. You feel behind at 26. You smile at the owambe and refresh your inbox under the table.
But real talk though, if anyone asks you to pay to "secure" a job offer, it's a big red flag and my friend, RUN.
Now brother Tunde has no other option but to keep praying and hoping things work out well for him.
Meanwhile in the group chat:
Chidi posts snow pics from Manitoba, Ama posts pictures of her first salary and steak dinner.
And Uncle keeps asking, "So when are you leaving?" (every Sunday)
Brother Tunde simply likes everything, and sheds a little tear as he thinks back to that one agent who said to him out of the blue, "Bros, I fit secure you job offer for Germany. You just gats pay small processing fee."
But brother Tunde couldn't pay because his savings was busy giving him side eye.
He scrolls down and sees:
"Applicants must already have the right to work in this country."
Tunde gulps.
Okay, week 5 now! "Interview week".
The time has been set to 9am Toronto time. He converts the time 6 times, irons his shirt and sits by the window for good lighting. But one thing is missing.
Ah yes, NEPA takes light 4 minutes before the call and his generator becomes his co-host. (Noise as a condiment to the whole situation).
Anyways, Week 3 follows and the emails start landing.
"Thank you for your interest. After careful considerationโฆ"
At this point Tunde already knows how that sentence ends. He doesn't even open them. He just reads the preview and sighs.
Omo. ๐
By the middle of week 4, brother Tunde finally finds THE job, his perfect match with the "Visa sponsorship available" statement glaring back at him. What a catch!
Week 2 rolls in and data bundle starts crying. Every job site wants a new account, a new password, and asks for him to retype the CV he literally just uploaded.
Site: "Upload your CV."
Tunde: Done.
Site: "Now type it all again."
Ah ahn, Why now?? ๐ฉ
And yes, brother Tunde is sooo motivated!
He has created a new CV, gone for a LinkedIn photoshoot with his smoothly ironed white shirt and a borrowed blazer. He's applying to 30 jobs a day and his mum has already told the whole church that he's "travelling soon." ๐๐
