Hint: If you oppose abortion rights,
which Jesus never mentioned,
because you are so deeply Christian;
but support the death penalty,
which Jesus directly opposed,
the rest of us are no longer obliged
to take your Christianity seriously.
@Tyler_Brooks__ You’re right that virtue signaling is an issue on the left, but I’m not sure it’s fair to assume it’s a majority of people. I really believe hashtags are usually meant to identify an intent to advocate. The disconnect between intent and impact often aligns with political bias.
@Tyler_Brooks__ The point I’m making is that the hashtags are one part of the equation. Who is to say many people with hashtags in their bios don’t advocate in different ways? Perhaps in their local communities. The hashtags are simply to spread awareness.
@Tyler_Brooks__ interesting to watch people pop a blood vessel, as they scream, red faced "YoUr HaShTaG dOeSn'T sToP RaCiSm!" Using a hashtag to show support is just a portion of the equation. People just out here trying to be decent humans. It ain't about you, Tyler.
Since Rep. Joe Harding is so fascinated by the sexual orientation of Florida’s children and thinks he’s privy to that type of personal information, what say we all tell him our sexual orientation?? Who’s with me!
@SolomonforJC Please help our small businesses with tiered fees for parklet cafes. These outdoor spaces have been vital in sustaining our small businesses during the pandemic, and a shop selling $7 beers can’t compete with luxury residential developers selling overpriced condos!
@medic2RN_RJC The trick is to remember the receptionist who you might be tempted to direct your anger to is also just a cog in the machine that is our dystopian for-profit system.
Want to know how Karen’s are born? Rational people are thrown into a hypercapitalistic system and told to fend for themselves again insurance agencies and medical billing departments. Where “I’d like to speak to your manager” is the only way to avoid paying double what you owe.
@So_Cal_Janet That's awesome! Glad to hear the process was easy for you. I've had some issues navigating incentives online and am working toward creating a process to make it a bit more manageable. The goal is to make the process easy peezy for everyone!
@Rizabellepow If you’re working with a reputable installer who doesn’t try to drill through the slate and knows proper installation techniques. A slate roof shouldn’t be an insurmountable barrier to solar. The trick is wading through predatory solar providers to find quality installers.
@14Badseed I meant more of the follow for a follow back culture. It seems like a vast majority of Twitter users follow exclusively for a follow back. They say and do whatever it takes for a chance at another follower.
I gotta be honest; this whole “follow for follow” system is dumb. I didn’t join Twitter to follow for a follow back, I joined to hear what you guys had to say and to share stories or opinions that resonate about pervasive issues in our society. That’s what this platform is for.
@scotlandishson @RhysAhrenstein@KellyBelle_ Ok so I thought I was living in some kind of dystopian twilight universe where everyone on Twitter was saying ANYTHING to get likes and followers. This thread thread was the validation I needed. 😂
