I think this is a consequence of return to school & work plus a cold and wet September. The latest subvariant XEC is not yet prevalent enough here to be driving this wave. 1/2

- Drs to be given their requested pay increase
- GP surgeries employing qualified GPs
- IENs to not have to pay ££££ to work in this country
- investment in hospital infrastructure that can aide IPC

As of 11 June, we have identified a further 98 cases associated with an ongoing outbreak of a Shiga toxin-producing E.coli (STEC) bringing the total to 211.
We're continuing our epidemiological analysis & whole genome sequencing to identify any further cases.
