Pain of an unemployed person:
• You wake up late, but still feel tired
• Every day feels the same
• You apply for jobs daily, no replies
• Phone notifications give hope, then nothing
• Family keeps asking “Any update?”
• Friends slowly stop calling
• You start avoiding people
• Money feels tight all the time
• You feel guilty even while resting
• Confidence slowly goes down
• You start doubting yourself
• Skills are there, opportunity is not
• Motivation comes and goes
• Nights are full of overthinking
• You feel stuck and helpless
• You are trying, but no one sees it
Being unemployed is not laziness.
It’s mental pressure no one understands 😔.
Anonymous confession:
My friend was freaking out because she thought she might be pregnant, but she was too embarrassed to go buy pregnancy tests herself.
So today I went and bought them for her, four tests. All four came back positive.
I was quietly asking myself how she managed to screw up this badly.
Then she sat there crying on my shoulder and asked,
“How am I supposed to provide for four kids at once?”
At that point, all my questions disappeared, and honestly, I’m not surprised she got pregnant.
This is Doug. He waited patiently all day for his hooman to fall asleep. Now it's burrow time. Nose under arm for maximum warmth. would never sleep alone again. Pls Leave her a big ❤️
So when I was about 13-14 me and some buddies were having band practice in our drummer’s garage and were playing “Killing in the Name” and during the “Fuck you I won’t do what you tell me” part of the song a neighbor dad came over and yelled at us to turn down our music and we were scared so we did and that kind of sums up Rage Against the Machine’s fan base.
Biggest lesson EMPLOYMENT has taught me:
1. HR is not your friend. They are there to protect both the employee and the company.
2. Document EVERYTHING.
3.Train and develop yourself to be relevant in that place of work
4. Everyone is replaceable.
5. Your family and mental health is more important than any job.
6. Some of your coworkers secretly hate you.
7. Never stay at one job longer than 4 years unless the pay increase is substantial.
8. Don’t let them promote you in title but not in compensation.
9. Keep your personal life private. Do not overshare. #IkoKaziKE
