my dad has already started international marketing for rootd... to my family members in ukraine
one problem: they can't read english 😀
so he's been on my a** all week to make the app translatable. i looked into it and full translation into every language is a huge commitment. every lesson, every score explanation, hundreds of ingredient writeups, in every language, forever. not worth it right now
BUT then my mom was playing around in the learn section and goes: why translate the whole app when you can just let people highlight any text and translate it themselves?
i was able to ship it in 5 lines of code. every word in rootd is now translatable into any language, including ukrainian!!!
dad handles distribution, mom handles product, I type! dream team 😙

Our startup, https://t.co/Eat4I3VVlN, has been steadily increasing in users. Though we don't seem to retain any traction.
The point of Poly is to collaborate with others, with your agent. To join a room with your team, your friend, or your co-founder. Yet, some users seem to join and be in a room by themselves.
Asking any co-founders or teams, would you really use a product like Poly?
maltodextrin is the ingredient that shows up as 0g sugar on the label but spikes blood glucose harder than table sugar does.
it's a starch, so it doesn't legally count as sugar, but it's basically pure glucose chains your body burns through instantly. common in "sugar free" stuff.
the ingredient list tells you what the sugar line won't

some of the scariest looking words on your ingredient list are just vitamins!
ascorbic acid = vitamin c
tocopherols = vitamin e.
riboflavin = b2.
they're usually in there as preservatives, doing the job "no preservatives" brands do with extra sugar and salt instead.

it's official!
rootd hits the app store September 4th. 3 DAYS!
until then the beta is still open, and everyone who joins before launch gets to keep premium free for life :)
if you've been lurking, this is the moment.
and spread the word to a friend who still reads labels 🥕

"uncured" bacon is cured.
the trick: they use celery powder instead of synthetic sodium nitrite, and celery powder is naturally full of nitrates.
tests found similar nitrite levels to regular bacon. usda has been petitioned to kill the label because it's misleading.
"uncured" mostly means "cured, but the marketing is better" https://t.co/qPYAknnOFi
something i wish more people with allergies knew:
"may contain peanuts" and "made in a shared facility" warnings are completely voluntary. no law requires them, no law standardizes the wording, and the phrasing doesn't indicate more or less risk.
a product with no warning isn't necessarily safer, its maker just chose not to add one
https://t.co/piZrQa6gEC
fun label fact: anything under 0.5g per serving can legally be listed as 0g. so "0g trans fat" can mean 0.4g per serving, and if you eat three servings that's over a gram of something the label says is zero.
the workaround is the ingredient list, which doesn't round

a 2007 study in the lancet found certain artificial food dyes increased hyperactivity in some kids.
the EU responded by putting warning labels on products with those six dyes. the US never did, so the same dye can have a warning in France and is considered a norm in the US.
check your labels!

today i learned a lot of people don't know this: titanium dioxide, the white coloring in some candy, gum and frosting, has been banned in food in the EU since 2022. their safety authority reviewed it and couldn't confirm it was safe.
the US still allows it... whats new 😀

Every AI coding tool makes you pick a side. Claude OR GPT.
We think that's backwards. Your team should argue about the code, not the model.
Poly now runs Claude AND OpenAI's models in the same room, shared repo, shared approvals, and one timeline everyone sees. Pick per prompt.

so… rootd got approved by the app store!! launching publicly very soon 🥕
last call to join the beta. beta testers keep premium free for life, and that deal disappears at launch. link below!

detox teas are selling you an organ you already own.
your liver and kidneys detox you 24/7, free of charge! no juice cleanse required. most "cleanse" results are just water weight and skipped meals.
save the money, eat some fiber. your liver's got this! 🌱 https://t.co/Aqbldarcat
if lunch makes you want to lie down instead of getting on with your day, try eating it in a different order. veggies and protein first, carbs last. cornell found up to 37% smaller blood sugar spikes from the identical meal.
the 3pm crash is not in fact mandatory!
