A colleague who recently moved to just outside London has just told me he’s going to start driving to work as getting the train was costing him £15 a day and he can’t feasibly keep paying that.

We will never get people to rely on cars less unless we sort out our trains first..

So many CVs I see - my heart wrenches wondering if they’ll ever get to interview somewhere with the state of their CVs. So many people who I think could be amazing but their CV looks careless and lazy.
All this to say, please take the time and work on your CV 🙏🏻

It shocks me the state of some people’s CVs that I see. It’s the first introduction to a recruiter of who you are. You can be an excellent interviewee but they’ll never find out if your CV doesn’t give them reason to see you 1/

If your CV is 4 pages long - there’s too much. No one’s CV needs to be that long.
If there’s detail in there you want to add but don’t have space for, use a cover letter to provide more.
Search examples online for CVs and cover letters. Don’t copy them, but use them for inspo

I strongly believe this has been massively affected by the strike action (not mad about it, the strikes were necessary). A lot of casual MCU fans who’d happily see this film didn’t know it was coming out.
As for me, I’m seeing it next weekend and I’m excited 🤷🏻‍♀️
