Last night we attended our final concert of the Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Festival. It was the amazing Fergus McCreadie (@fergusmccreadie ) and Xhosa Cole (@XhosaCole ) They made the piano and saxophone talk to one another, making beautiful music together. #ejbf2026
Our second concert tonight was the fantastic Colin Steele Sextet. We have seen Colin many times over the years and we always have a great time. Tonight was no exception. Super concert! #ejbf2026
Our first concert today at the Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Festival was the Sultan Stevenson Trio. Sultan is a young award winning jazz musician, pianist and composer and this is the trio’s first time in Scotland. Hopefully they will be back soon. Fantastic concert! #ejbf2026

Just back from our second concert of the Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Festival. Tonight we were at the St. Brides Centre to hear the Brian Molley Quartet (@bgmolley ) play Saxophone Colossus, a tribute to the late Sonny Rollins. It was a fantastic performance. #ejbf2026
It’s that time of year again, we attended our first concert of the Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Festival. Tonight we saw Tuba Skinny (@TubaSkinny ) at the Queen’s Hall. It was a fantastic night of traditional New Orleans jazz. #ejbf2026
Last night was our final concert of the Festival, this time at the Queen’s Hall.
First we listened to the wonderful GAIA who enchanted us with her fantastic voice. Then the amazing Corto Alto almost blew the roof off with their exciting and energetic fusion of musical styles.
Tonight at Edinburgh Jazz & Blues Festival the quartet of Fergus McCreadie, Harry Weir, Ewan Hastie & Graham Costello honoured the 60th anniversary of the release of John Coltrane’s A Love Supreme by playing it in its entirety. It was a brilliant performance! #ejbf25

Tonight we saw the fantastic Soweto Kinch and his band @sowetokinch. This is the fourth time we’ve seen him at the Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Festival and he never disappoints. Hope he’s back next year so we can see him again. #ejbf24
Enjoyed an afternoon of blues at Edinburgh Jazz and Blues Festival. We were thoroughly entertained by Jerron Paxton, Doug MacLeod and the Mark Harrison Band. Three very different but totally enjoyable sets. #ejbf24
