It was my privilege to participate in the observance of the 125th Birth Anniversary of the Architect of West Bengal and the founder of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh, Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee, at Sindri in Dhanbad district of Jharkhand.

As Independent India's first Union Minister for Industry, Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee laid the foundation of the nation's industrial transformation through his visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to national development. His farsighted vision paved the way for the establishment of several landmark industrial institutions that became the pillars of a self-reliant India. Among these, the Sindri Fertilizer Plant in the then Bihar (now Jharkhand) stands as a lasting testament to his nation-building vision and remains a significant milestone in the history of India's industrialisation.

Standing today on the historic and sacred soil of Sindri, we paid our respectful tributes to this great son of Bharat on the occasion of his 125th Birth Anniversary. His ideals, selfless sacrifice, unwavering nationalism, and steadfast commitment to the unity and integrity of the nation continue to inspire millions and will remain a guiding light for generations to come.
