Gorgeous #NobelPrize speech by Jon Fosse. It’s all there, all of it.
It was a long time ago I was so moved by such a speech — Pinter, yes. That was the one before this one.
Delighted to share that registration for our conference "Playwrights and Environment" is now open, until 20 Oct. Swedish Institute in Rome, 16-17 November. Full info here: https://t.co/cITgBQc9m6
One realises one hasn’t tweeted (I still call it that) in a long time! So as we enter Nobel week, formulating my wish, and whispering it to the skies: let it be a playwright. Say an exciting one. Say someone who has reinvented form and content and all they can be and mean and do.
@MarkRavenhill2 For what it’s worth, and at the risk of being completely off-topic, I tend to choose plays by playwright. They’re always, for me, the main draw.
In other news, I highly recommend learning a new language at 40, because, say, one day one realizes one really is fluent in Swedish and life is full of wonderful surprises.
Have you explored our Theatre And series?
Edited by @DanRebellato@ProfJenHarvie, the series comprises short volumes which capture the interdisciplinary energy of theatre and performance and the wider world.
Which will you pick? https://t.co/cozNEcxrtw
Good article, this. Two of my favourites are mentioned, about three are not. Along with all the other (about to become) empty chairs, this will get very interesting. https://t.co/GptvQUnYa3
