2/2 feedback onto the manager. As if the severity of this will just be brushed under the carpet! The poor lad now has anxiety about going out because of being judged! @SunderlandEcho@ChronicleLive@VickyHa79684235
Hey @SunderlandEcho and @ChronicleLive - What’s your take on the Equality Act at Aldi? my mate John went to Aldi yesterday in Doxford Park, Sunderland, was approached by security about him being drunk!! When he has MS. Put a complaint in... and the standard reply will pass 1/2
@AldiUK Your staff and security should know and understand the difference! He’s attitude towards me was ridiculous I felt like he was trying to usher me out the store! Do all Aldi stores discriminate against disabled people? #discrimination#Disability#alllifesmatter
@AldiUK with the shopping I was approached abruptly by the security guard and he said to me “what are you after!” Which my response was “I'm looking For my wife” and he said “I think you’ve had a bit too much to drink!” I don’t think any of this is acceptable!
@AldiUK On the 22/07/2020 at approximately 16:30 I took my mother and wife to one of your stores at Doxford park in Sunderland Tyne and Wear, unfortunately my mother took a nasty turn, so my wife was in the store still doing her shopping. When I come into the store to help my wife.......
@AldiUK can you confirm if your staff have ever undertaken equality training?A friend of mine was in your Doxford Park, Sunderland store, he has MS and was told by the security guard that he was “drunk” disgraceful! He won’t be coming back
@AldiUK Just wondering if you can confirm if your staff are inducted and trained in the Equality Act 2005? I think a heartfelt apology to John is needed, a friend of mine who has Multiple Sclerosis and is NOT drunk!!!
