Haven’t been on here for a while but I am alive - just not on X all that much! Anyway, here’s a column for you on the whole Renault/Ford EV thing. Maybe the whole platform sharing thing has gone too far? Starting to feel like it, to me.

The SL has been out of hibernation for a few weeks. Gorgeous drives in it over the weekend, and a bit of camping in between. It’s very grubby, and the ‘must sort that for the Merc’ to-do list is only getting longer, but it’s running beautifully and it makes me very happy.
@XirVicin You’re being deliberately belligerent about modern cars. Renault offers one of the cheapest EVs on sale with the Dacia Spring. The R4 is cheaper than many rivals. It isn’t the basic, agricultural transport like the original. But it’s not 1961. And £30k isn’t close to a Model Y.
@bm88 Yes. The 4 has got one pedal mode, and three other levels. Paddle controlled, too. It’s great! Also coming to the Renault 5 in the (probably quite near) future.
