When a 71-year-old man collapsed in the Lake District, one of his dogs went to get help, while the other dog stayed by his side. The black lab chased down a woman who’d earlier walked by and got her to follow. She then phoned for help. Dogs are the absolute best.

Keswick Mountain Rescue said the man had regained consciousness when they arrived and after assessment was able to walk down the hill to an awaiting ambulance. He was taken to hospital for further checks.
