A billionaire businessman in Bayelsa publicly promised to send the brightest Bayelsa youths to the United States for pilot and aircraft engineering training.
776 people applied.
Only 2 passed the exam.
According to one of the winners, instead of being sent abroad as promised, they spent 16 months working for him, doing everything from aviation tasks to running errands.
The matter is now before the courts.

Femi Otedola just bought another 680 million shares in First HoldCo.
His stake is now 20.42%, the biggest individual shareholder in the bank.
And look at the price. He paid ₦44 a share while the market was above ₦60.
So while everyone pays full price, the chairman quietly loads up at a discount.
He clearly isn’t buying for the dividend. So what is he buying for?
In Fidelity Bank alone BEFORE HE BECAME GOVERNOR, Peter Obi’s 695,190,178 million shares @ ₦18 was worth ₦12.5B as far back as 2005!!!
$1 was ₦131 - that’s $95.42 million
Today,
$1=1,375
$95.42m x ₦1,375
= ₦131.20billion
