If Ogbunike Ohaegbu’s claims are true, they raise serious questions that demand clear and honest answers.
First, why would an Labour Party aspirant choose to discuss sensitive internal party matters with Kenneth Okonkwo ,a member of a rival political party ,rather than escalating the issue directly to the party’s leadership? That decision alone raises eyebrows.
Internal grievances should be handled through proper party channels, not aired to political opponents who may have their own agenda.
Second, if a National Secretary truly demanded ₦10 million as alleged, why was no formal complaint ever filed with the National Leader or the appropriate party organs? Silence in the face of such serious misconduct is not neutrality ,it is complicity.
Any credible party member who witnesses corruption or extortion has both a moral and institutional responsibility to report it.
These unanswered questions only deepen concerns about infiltration, disloyalty, and backdoor politics festering within the opposition.
As for Kenneth Okonkwo, if he publicly made false claims linking Peter Obi to a ₦10 million fundraising demand without credible evidence to back it up, then Peter Obi is absolutely right to pursue legal redress. In a democracy, freedom of speech does not mean freedom to defame.
Serious allegations carry serious weight and that weight must be backed by facts, not fuelled by speculation or political mischief.
Nigerian politics desperately needs a reset. We must hold our politicians and public figures to a higher standard , one built on facts, accountability, and transparency.
Rumour-mongering and character assassination must have consequences. Until we demand better, we will continue to get worse.

“Kenneth Okonkwo lied. I never told him Peter Obi asked us (NDC southeastern HoR aspirants) to pay N10 million to fund his 2027 Presidential campaign”
—Ogbunike Ohaegbu, clarifies position on NDC primaries & fraud allegations.
Me: again, it’s high time Obi sued Kenneth Okonkwo.
“Also, I did not tell Kenneth Okonkwo that the southeastern leaders of NDC, asked us to pay them N10 million to secure NDC HoR tickets for 2027 elections. Mr. Okonkwo lied”
—Mr. Ogbunike Ohaegbu clarifies
Me: why is Kenneth Okonkwo going this far, to taint the image of, and discredit Peter Obi?
How much money did Atiku pay him for this job?
“Kenneth Okonkwo lied. I never told him that Peter Obi asked us (NDC South-East House of Representatives aspirants) to contribute ₦10 million each to fund his 2027 presidential campaign.”
— Ogbunike Ohaegbu, clarifying his position on the NDC primaries and the allegations of fraud.

Small primaries you are crashing out.
El-Rufai's son saw he won't be given ticket in APC and left the party. For once, he hasn't insulted Tinubu.
Bashir Ahmed lost primaries under Buhari and never insulted Buhari or APC.
Rochas Okorocha lost primaries and he's not going about insulting APC or Tinubu.
Ararueme also lost too and he's not on social media insulting Nentawe or whatever his name is.
If your party wins at National level, who do you think will occupy ministerial positions? Abii head of agencies?
Everyone mustn't contest o. That's why we have career and non career politicians o.
The youth has a long way to go in politics in this country!! Everything is content to them. Chai

Building a Healthier Nigeria Through Stronger Healthcare Systems
As part of our desire and commitment to building a healthier Nigeria, I met with some healthcare professionals and experts in the United States on Friday, June 5, 2026. The meeting was essentially to deepen my understanding of how successful health insurance systems deliver improved healthcare, especially in the areas of primary and emergency care.
One of our key health objectives remains unchanged: to expand health insurance coverage, strengthen primary healthcare across our electoral wards, train more healthcare workers, and make quality healthcare accessible and affordable for all Nigerians.
A New Nigeria must be a healthier Nigeria.
A New Nigeria is possible. -PO
