Introverts should avoid Extrovert partners:
1. The noise levels shall suffocate you.
2. Their questions are like an interrogation.
3. You could be minding your business, the extrovert will diagnose you with depression.
4. An Extrovert wants attention. That's a horror script.
The struggles and pain will end. The tears will stop flowing. The doors you’ve been knocking on will open. Have beautiful patience. Trust the Almighty.
I've learned that the best way to end something, is to let it starve. No response, no action, no altercations, just don't feed it. That's where the true power lies. ~Unknown
If you don't like me, what makes you think I will convince you to like me? What makes you think I even care?
If you don't like me, I don't like you. Go nurse your bulging ego and entitlement. I may act friendly but am not your friend.
Am on a journey you've got no clue about.
In your 20s you’ll party with your girlfriend. You’ll go places. You’ll post more photos together than any sentence with sense. You’ll announce “We’ve made it… Life is Good”. You’ll hope from bar to bar till morning. You changed your name from Sserubende to Salvado.
You only remember your brothers, sisters and parents at memorial gatherings when you arrive in a loud gun-shots Subaru. You changed ever since you got a Degree and a girlfriend with exaggerated artificial enhancements on her rear, hips and chest.
When both of you turn 30, she'll leave you and go with someone who has a sure future. Women are not stupid. If you choose to be stupid in your 20s, you’ll die in your own movie. She’ll choose another movie script and still get a Grammy award. They’ll tag along and chew whatever theres on the menu in your 20s.
At 30s, she will go with someone with a Title, someone respected in society; someone with responsibilities in the community; someone doing real sports like golf, tennis, football not Ludo and pool table. She’ll go with someone whose social circles are worth mentioning to her parents like Golf Club, Investment Club of Entebbe, not Subaru Drivers Association.
You wasted your 20s hugging a leech. Leeches don’t cling onto dead bodies. Leeches don’t look for you. It’s you who goes to where they are found and they latch onto you.
You’ll complain that women are materialistic but realistically, you have no vision, no sense of direction, no friends with value, zero social responsibility. You just have a beat-up Subaru with fading tattoos, reducing biceps, and a bulging tummy.
Reminder:
Be in the right circles. Spend more time with more mature people with good exposure and repute. There is more silent competition among age-mates; they'll choke your growth. Don't blame your poverty on your parents. Think for yourself while still in your 20s.
If you're lucky to get a job in your 20's, do whatever it takes to build a saleable skill and build networks thru the interactions that come with the job.
Once you lose it in your 40's, it will be extremely hard to get another one, you will have to rely on your skills.
Sudden job loss shares a lot in common with losing a loved one.
Initially, people will promise many things, but little/no promise will be fulfilled, then the calls reduce, the avoidance sets in, and depression follows.
Expect less from people, and you will be less surprised.
Reputation may look like a small thing because Ugandans move on to a new story daily, but there're occurrences that follow you that you will struggle to break into certain spaces because of your past. Guard your reputation jealously.
Introverts are lie-detectors. You can't hide it. You can't get away. And you absolutely can't fool them. They notice everything. The words you choose. Your tone. Energy. Intentions. They don't just listen, they see you inside out. Trust me, they can smell bs from a mile away.
Advice to my 20 year old self:
Even 30 year olds don't have it all figured out, stresing over success is only successful at robbing you of any freely available joys. Live today.
Not every problem that happens today should be solved today because some of the money you make today belongs to tomorrow. Plus, nature and time have a way they take away some problems.
