@_iam_desy_ My issue has never been with your opinion about respecting ATEEZ. My issue is that, in defending their privacy, you involved a private person who had nothing to do with the wider debate by exposing her account to another platform.
@_iam_desy_ At the end of the day, ATEEZ are public figures. Fame inevitably comes with less privacy in public spaces and with people taking photos. That doesn’t mean people should deliberately stalk or harass them, I completely agree with that
@_iam_desy_ Finally, regarding your point about me appearing in the photo: even though my face wasn’t visible, part of my body was. I struggle with my body image and my mental health, so to me that doesn’t make it any less personal.
@_iam_desy_ That made it possible for people to find her account and leave comments. Whether or not that was your intention, it exposed a private person to strangers.
@_iam_desy_ I also disagree that your post doesn’t encourage harassment. You first uploaded a screenshot with my mum’s name blurred, then uploaded another where her TikTok username was visible.
@_iam_desy_ You also reposted someone else’s photo of one of the members and wrote, “He’s so gay with his little purse and his little leather jacket in Rome with 38+ degrees and his little legs, oh how I adore him.” Yet you didn’t criticise that person for posting the photo.
@_iam_desy_ You keep talking about morality, but what is more moral than following the law? If we’re going to make moral judgments, then I would say uploading screenshots that expose a private person’s account to thousands of strangers isn’t very moral either
@_iam_desy_ Also, I didn’t upload the photo—my mum did. She was excited because she realised ATEEZ happened to be in one of the photos being taken. That’s a normal human reaction. Fans get excited when they unexpectedly see someone they admire and want to share that moment with other fans.
@_iam_desy_ Yes, I would like you to delete the screenshot where my mum’s account is visible. If her account had never been made identifiable, I wouldn’t have commented in the first place.
@_iam_desy_ I never said you were attacking my mum directly. What I said is that by sharing her account on another platform while presenting her as an example of what you disagree with, you’re encouraging people to form a negative opinion of her.
