It's been a year since the sale of 'Occupant' to New Line Cinema. Eternally grateful to @JohnPoliquin and @ScottGlassgold, who collaborated with me on the story, and @DBoxerbaum and @Vervetla for representing.
A story of mine was accepted for Sliced Up Press's Saturday Mourning Television anthology. Super excited about this anthology!
I have another acceptance that I'm not sure I can announce on social media yet, but I've signed contracts for both!
Seventh part of the new haunted house follow up series (follow-up to the HH series I wrote before "Occupant") just posted. Finishing this older series begun on Reddit to partly get back into groove of longer form writing.

A flash fiction I wrote on the Thirstday prompt (in chats) for SBA's live writing and art event on Substack: https://t.co/BvkvPjAh5p
We created a free horror-leaning story and art community there where anyone can post. More events planned!

Started a discussion Q thread on the SBA Substack community chat concerning creepypasta and the future of it and internet horror.

This year Odd Directions is doing horror fantasy for their Oddtober event, and here is my contribution: #fantasy#horror
(The story, not the old painting by Peter Paul Rubens, of course.)

Respect to the OG NoSleep's take on creepypasta. Their roleplaying aspect is in a league of its own. We've started our own creepypasta variant with our own twist on Shadow Box Archives: Obscurios. It's an experiment.

And Odd Directions (a community from Reddit that was an inspiration for SBA) is also there too now, also free to audience and publicly visible like on Reddit: https://t.co/3HbtVWWRJr
It may take a while to grow this horror-leaning story and art sharing community up on Substack, but trying to grow it on platform that doesn't sell posts to AI and that has more opportunities for creatives to get paid is worth a try. #writers#artists

The Patreon will remain somewhat curated with SBA-plus features, where profits are split equally between all involved there, but the Substack will hopefully be even more like a Subreddit.
