Video of Governor of Niger State Umar Baggo making those declarations against Fullani Bandits

He said the decision was prompted by the rising cases of kidnapping. According to him, when kidnapped victims are released after ransom is paid, they often identify Fulani as those responsible for the abductions.

He also stated that whenever there is a dispute between the indigenous people of Niger State and some Fulani communities, some of those involved allegedly invite their relatives from neighboring countries to join the conflict.

In addition, there have been growing concerns over land grabbing involving some Fulani groups in Niger State.

Dear Nigerians, here is a question that deserves our collective reflection.

The 2026 FG budget has a fiscal deficit of N31.45 trillion, representing 46% of the total budget size. Despite this, N8.05 billion has been earmarked for the construction and renovation of places of worship across the Country;
⛪ 7 Churches — N1.91 billion
🕌 52 Mosques — N6.14 billion

At a time when many communities still lack functional primary healthcare centres, quality schools, clean water, and motorable roads, are these the most pressing priorities for scarce public resources?

Faith is important, but government budgets should primarily address citizens' most critical development needs and improve their quality of life.

With increasing debt and limited fiscal space, every naira borrowed and every naira spent should deliver the greatest possible public value.

What do you think? Should public funds be used to construct and renovate places of worship while many essential public services remain underfunded?

This is ANOH gas plant, initiated, built by Gov Hope Uzodinma of Imo State.

From what I read this plant has the capacity to provide the gas needs of Nigeria and beyond.

With this plant full operational the issue of gas flaring and waste a natural resources that should be a source income will be reduced reduced drastically.

Note: Imo State has the highest amount of Natural Gas deposit in West Africa.

To me this is highly commendable and we encourage your excellency and other Governors to do more.

Ibrahim Traore is banning the implementation of Shari'a law in Burkina Faso.

According to him, there are other religious groups in the country and it would be injustice against many if Shari'a is legalized.

Ibrahim Traore is also saying that Shari'a law is not compatible with development and he frowned at his country men who go to Saudi to study Shari'a while others are studying science.

According to him they'll not return back to the country. They should better stay there after studying their Shari'a.

Ibrahim Traore is a staunch Muslim anyway.

Allegedly, this my guy was accused by the wife of molesting their daughter.

He was allegedly arrested by men of @policeAnambraNG, Awada Division on Tuesday.

Allegedly he was tortured to death on Friday morning and allegedly dumped at General Hospital, Onitsha. His body is allegedly full of wounds and scars.

How can someone die in the hands of @PoliceNG, all in the name of torture and dumped like a fowl? Till this evening, they are not saying anything that is making sense.

This is a human being for God's sake!!
He is supposed innocent until proved otherwise by a competent court of Law. Why beat him instead of charging him to court?
Why wasn't he charged to court in over 48hrs?

Drama in the Senate between Senate President Akpabio and Senator Oshiomhole over the confirmation of Professor Abayomi Fasina as an ambassador despite sexual harassment allegations leveled against him.

Senator Oshiomhole: The man, who is also a professor, has been accused by two women of sexual harassment and the cases are in court. The Senate shouldn't confirm him as an ambassador until the court gives a ruling on the cases.

Senator Lalong: No court proceedings regarding the sexual harassment case were brought before my committee (Committee on Foreign Affairs). It's not every allegation that will stop the proceedings of the Senate.

Senate President Akpabio: I don’t want to go outside of what we are doing. I would have asked a question when there was a picture showing one of our senators in a plane, massaging the leg of a girl...(laughter by senators).

Senator Oshiomhole, your friend, your very good friend, Senator Lalong, came to give me security information. He said that we just ignored the massaging because we thought it was AI. But if you have another evidence, we have a petition before us. We can look into it if it’s not AI.
