BREAKING: Blizzard Introduces New Anti-Gold Buying System in WoW Forever — Players Could Have Trading, Mail, Guild Banks, and Auction House Access Restricted!

Blizzard Community Manager Kaivax has revealed a new system designed to aggressively combat real-money trading (RMT) and gold buying in WoW Forever.

Players suspected of buying or selling gold could receive a Temporary Economy Hold, restricting their ability to trade, send mail, access guild banks, or use the Auction House while their accounts are investigated.

Blizzard acknowledges that false positives may occur as the system is fine-tuned. Players who are cleared will have their restrictions lifted without permanent account penalties.

The biggest development? Blizzard says this system could eventually be introduced across ALL versions of World of Warcraft if it proves successful.

This could be one of Blizzard’s most aggressive attempts yet to combat gold buying.
