Maybe, instead of National Service for 18 year olds they should introduce national service for MPs.

They all have to do several weeks volunteering in a school, GP, hospital, care home, social care and police within their first 12 months in office.

@StudyMaths I start off teaching with actual counters … then because our KS3 all have their own iPads I’m able to introduce them to Mathsbot ⭐️ very low ability students absolutely smashing adding & subtracting negative numbers ⭐️

Scenario: A student is committing a minor infraction in the lesson. Rocking on their chair, chewing gum etc..

Teachers are commonly recommended to tactically ignore small infractions like these..1/13

Think-piece: Everyone in the Department for Education should have to teach full-time for at least 1 term in a state school (and complete it) to qualify to be there.

Idea being - actual teachers would eventually take over all the roles cos no one would 'pass'.
