@padwrondularde It seems like there are so many competing “signals” now floating about in each update that not even Google themselves can truly predict the impact on SERPs. Presumably they have metrics they’re aiming for, but more often than not they end up hitting quality sites accidentally

@thebacklinkguy There doesn’t appear to be any downtime for the site judging by the server logs, it just seems like it was swept up in the de-indexing onslaught from last week and then the algo changed its mind!

Site #3 testing new highs again 😇

Didn’t really touch it over the holidays, but will resume publishing later this week. Should be finished seeding it with content by the end of Q1!

@Intiims_ I suppose that’s the downside to this strategy, the RPMs never usually exceed $50 even when considering affiliate commissions.

Don’t get me wrong, that’s not bad, but I need to scale a lot further to make 4-7k/mo.

Pulling back from display ads in 2024 and going to focus way more on the affiliate side of things - just the way I started.

Minimum ad densities, no sticky ads, and much more of a focus on UX.

Interested to see if it helps buck the downward trend! Will keep you all updated 😇

@GBThePinstripes I ran a ‘guidance’ service for a little while, but I think my price was too low because I got pretty overwhelmed booking-wise and had to pause it.

@gauravnagani Likelihood is that you’re targeting keywords that are too competitive, I’d either look at building backlinks or start targeting lower competition KWs
