Arts & Non-Profit Management Consultant, Arts Advocate| Consultante en gestion des arts et OBNL. Passionate about the power of arts to build strong communities.
In 2010, Ottawa's arts community had a dream to create affordable homes for older professionals 55+. @OttawaPAL was born and now the shovels are in the ground thanks to all the work of volunteers, donors and the good people at Ottawa Community Housing!! @OCH_LCO@CultureOttawa
We are thrilled to have been part of such a milestone event in the creation of PAL Place!
Providing senior artists and arts workers 86 units of #affordablehousing is becoming more and more real - we couldn't be happier.

I teach at @Carleton_U as a sessional instructor (@cupe4600) because I want to give back to the school that prepared me for my career. I love sharing with and learning from @RiddellMPM students. They truly are the most engaged and passionate Iโve ever met.
But if you take away my IP, this will be the last year teaching in @RiddellMPM @FPACarleton @CU_President
We have a strong message for @Carleton_U: get back to the bargaining table & treat academic workers with respect.
CUPE's National Executive Board joined striking @cupe4600 members to demand fair pay, appropriate student-TA ratios, & intellectual property rights.
#StrikeToWin
Completely agree with the wise @DavidColetto . It is not just pay but the right for contract instructors to own their own content. In today's digital world, respect for IP is essential. @cupe4600. @Carleton_U
Day 2: Contract instructors and TAs (@cupe4600) are on strike at @Carleton_U.
I'm 100% behind the strike until two issues are resolved:
1. Fair pay. Pay CIs and TAs at least as much as those at @uOttawa
2. Protect IP. Carleton wants to own the course content developed by contract instructors. No way! I work hard to develop my course. I produce podcasts, use my data. It's mine.
Hold the line @cupe4600. Please RT, like etc to show your solidarity.
Extremely sad to see @Carleton_U take this position and have the union feel that it must go on strike after months of negotiations. Hopefully this will be rectified asap for the benefit of our students. @cupe4600
