Discovering a new plant 😄 Its flowers resemble small lanterns, with golden petals covered in red veins. It belongs to the Malvaceae family, the same family as hibiscus and rose of Sharon. Its leaves somewhat resemble maple leaves, hence its English name, Flowering Maple.
