The standings after Day 2 of @FIDE_chess World Rapid Team Championship. Al-Ain ACMG UAE is the sole leader with 14/16 points!

Team Al-Ain has Daniil Dubov on the top board, with other top players like Parham Maghsoodloo, Vladislav Artemiev, and Kateryna Lagno.

Decade China and Chessy are on the 2nd and 3rd spot respectively, with 13/16 points. The all-Indian Team MGD1 is close behind with 12/16 points.

The final four rounds will take place tomorrow - Round 9 starts from 3 PM IST. Who do you think will win the World Rapid Team Championship 2024?

World Rapid Teams 2024 Round 1-4: Chessy emerges sole leader with a perfect score 8/8

The only team to have won all four of their matches is Chessy. They finished the first day on a high note by demolishing the defending champion WR Chess Team by 1-5.

In Round 5, Chessy will face Decade China Team. It starts tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. local time, 3 p.m. IST.

GM Vidit Gujrathi shows his class and reaches the grand finals of the Division II of the Crunchlab Masters of the Champions Chess Tour.

Vidit has showcased some brilliant chess to first beat Lazavik in the qualifiers and then Antipov, Svane, Fedoseev and Grischuk.

He will now face Grischuk again today in the grand finals, as Grischuk managed to beat Nakamura in the losers bracket.

It's wonderful to see Vidit back in form! He has confirmed himself a prize money of US$10,000. If he manages to win today, he would make it US$15,000. Wishing him the best for the finals.

Both Gukesh and Vidit had a lackluster event at the Grand Chess Tour Superunited Rapid. Gukesh had a slow start, but came back well on Day 2 with two important wins. But he had a rough Day 3, winning one and losing two games. Gukesh is currently 7th in the leaderboard with 9/18 points.

As for Vidit, he is having a tough time so far as he has only managed to score one win and two draws in the 9 rounds of Rapid chess played. He has 4/18 points so far.

Today marks the start of the Blitz event. There will be 9 rounds of Blitz played today, and 9 rounds played tomorrow. Do you think Gukesh and Vidit can comeback strong and make a good finish? Let us know in the comments.
