Hello everyone!
My interview with @ViditHQ is out today. I asked a few questions about my background and work method. For those curious about my profile, you can find it in this post.

Analyst portrait, the second one.
@AquilaTrenta came to geolocation from archive photos: the Zaporizhzhia plant and Enerhodar today, the Italian contingent in Nasiriyah in 2004.
We asked a few questions. His answers, in his words. ๐งต

What is missing in Vidit ?
"I'm curious to see how it evolves, and what a geolocation community could achieve. How much could we contribute? Maybe by helping each other, sharing ideas and resources."
Behind each geolocation is someone who spent hours matching rooflines, shadows and tree lines until one coordinate held, then showed their work so anyone could check it. Few people can do that. We built Vidit so that work stays on the record, under their name.
Didn't expect this much love for 0.3.1. Thanks to all testing Azimut and sending feedback ๐
Now fixing & improving:
-FIRMS: sharper fires and a spent quota no longer marks your key invalid
-Copernicus: cloudy days no longer blank
-New village names layer
-Lighter, cleaner views
Azimut 0.3.1 is out. Free, open source, runs on your machine.
New: Detect to spot change on Sentinel-2 and radar, custom analyzers, Imagery Comparison, KML and GeoConfirmed layers, a simpler Inspect, better geo proofs and to-do lists...

"The future looks promising: I'd love real interaction between geolocators, a place for geoloc requests and the ones we're stuck on, and all our work on a single platform."
