A 2 MW Ground Mount Solar project implemented by Horana Solar Power (Pvt) Ltd a Fully owned subsidiary of Vidullanka PLC, was declared open & connected to the National Grid this morning in Horana.

The project is the 1st implemented project of 23 projects that was awarded in March 2021 on a tendered by CEB for a total of 150 MW. I thank the developers & management of Vidulanka & Horana Solar Power for implementing the project with the cost escalations & financial risks during the last 12 months.

Solar Universe 10 MW Ground Mount Solar Power Plant in Vavunativ, Batticalao was opened this morning. Invested & developed by Wind Force, Vidu Lanka & Hi Energy, it is the 1st Agrivoltaic Power Plant in SL. It will add 20 GWh annually to the National Grid.
