Building Tamil Nadu’s Next Global Manufacturing Landmark: Pou Chen in Kallakurichi

The Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu (@CMOTamilnadu), Thiru. M.K. Stalin (@mkstalin) along with the Hon’ble Minister for Industries (@TNIndMin), Thiru. Dr T.R.B Rajaa (@TRBRajaa) conducted an infrastructure walkthrough of the Pou Chen manufacturing project at Kallakurichi. Construction activities are currently underway, and the leadership team of Pou Chen Group presented an overview of the project’s progress, including a detailed scale model illustrating the complete development plan.

The project, backed by a MoU for an investment of INR 2,032 crore, is expected to generate 20,000 employment opportunities upon completion. The facility will manufacture footwear for the Nike (@Nike) and represents a significant milestone in the development of large-scale, export-oriented manufacturing infrastructure in Tamil Nadu.
