You never know what can come from being a solo indie game dev, most probably you won't make it or even if your game does go viral it will die out in 2 months, and there is a small chance of your game doing so well that you sell it to a company for over a billion dollars.

Gears of war e day might be one of the worst optimized games ever, I am talking 30 fps with a 5090. @GearsofWar
