Canada: This is really happening. We can't make it go away by ignoring it. This is orwellian level dystopia. The Canadian police will become thought police. C-9 has now returned to the House of Commons for consideration of the Senate’s amendments (a relatively minor step, as the government has indicated support). Once the House concurs, it will proceed to Royal Assent by the Governor General and become law (likely coming into force 30 days later).
