प्रकृति के इस सूखे के संकेत को गंभीरता से लें, पानी की बरबादी रोकें 👇

जैसे कि इस साल जामुन की बंपर बहार
इस साल बाजार में दिख रहे हैं।
इतने जामुन मैंने पिछले दो तीन दशकों में कभी नहीं देखे।
जहां भी देखिए जामुन के पेड़ों के नीचे जामुन के ढेर लगे हैं।
जिन पेड़ों पर पिछले साल इक्का-दुक्का फल आए थे, वे पेड़ भी इस बार जामुन से लदे हुए हैं।
आखिर ऐसा क्यों हो रहा है?

हमारे बुजुर्ग हमेशा कहते थे कि.....
"जिस गर्मी में जामुन ऐसे ढेरों गिरते हैं, उस साल सूखा पड़ता है।"

बुजुर्गों का ये पारंपरिक ज्ञान वनस्पति शास्त्र के हिसाब से बिल्कुल सटीक है। विज्ञान में इस प्रक्रिया को "Masting" या "Stress Fruiting" कहते हैं।

पेड़ों के खुद को खत्म करके ज्यादा से ज्यादा फल देने के इस आखिरी प्रयास को "Suicide Fruiting" या "Bumper Crop" भी कहा जाता है।

विज्ञान इसके बारे में कहता है कि....
Survival Instinct यानी अस्तित्व की लड़ाई
जब पेड़ को जमीन के नीचे पानी की कमी महसूस होती है, तब पेड़ "Defense Mode" में चला जाता है। अपनी प्रजाति को जिंदा रखने के लिए पेड़ अपनी सारी ताकत फल बनाने में लगा देता है।
और नए पत्ते-टहनियों पर रोक लग जाती है।
ऐसे साल में पेड़ नई कोंपल निकालना बंद कर देता है।
ऊर्जा बचाकर सिर्फ जामुन का उत्पादन बढ़ाता है।
इसीलिए पिछले साल कम फल वाले पेड़ भी इस बार लदे हैं।
इस भविष्यवाणी और सूखे से रिश्ता देखें तो हमारे बड़े बूढ़ों का अनुभव सही है, क्योंकि पेड़ मौसम के बदलाव को पहले पहचान लेते हैं।
जामुन की जड़ 'Taproot' बहुत गहराई तक जाती है।
जब भूजल स्तर बहुत नीचे जाता है, तभी जड़ों को तनाव महसूस होता है।
ये तनाव ही आने वाले सूखे का संकेत है।
सीधी बात सी बात यह है कि,
जामुन का पेड़ आत्महत्या नहीं कर रहा, बल्कि खुद का बलिदान देकर अगली पीढ़ी को जन्म दे रहा है।
यहां हमारे पूर्वजों ज्ञान अनेकों पीढ़ियों का अनुभव और विज्ञान यहां एक बिंदु पर मिलते हैं।
इस साल जामुन का स्वाद लें, पर प्रकृति के इस 'सूखे' के संकेत को गंभीरता से देखें।
पानी संभलकर इस्तेमाल करें।।
