I had the opportunity to visit my friends and colleagues at Scarborough Health Network @shncares to highlight a number of our government’s initiatives to better the healthcare system here in Scarborough through a historic $1 billion investment to build a brand new hospital at Birchmount as well as expanding the emergency department at Centenary Hospital.
We are continuing our support by investing more in the operations of the hospital as well as recently announcing 4 new hospice beds to provide compassionate end-of-life care.
We will always step up to deliver better health care for our community.

We should think about access to health care similarly.
Cancer treatment advancements have saved lives, but the increased complexity in care can be difficult to navigate—especially for marginalized communities.
