The most important observation is that this document is not a peace treaty.

It is a framework designed to stop a war and create conditions for negotiating a future agreement.

Several provisions take effect immediately, while many of the most difficult issues are deferred to future negotiations.

The source is the Time Magazine article "Read the Full Text of the 14-Point Agreement Between the U.S. and Iran" dated 6/17/26

Immediate and permanent termination of military operations by the United States, Iran, and their allies on all fronts, including Lebanon; commitment not to initiate war or military operations against each other; commitment to refrain from threats or use of force and to ensure Lebanon’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.
The United States and Iran undertake to respect each other’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and refrain from interfering in each other’s internal affairs.
The United States and Iran commit to negotiating and achieving a final deal within 60 days, extendable by mutual consent.
The United States will begin removing its naval blockade and other impediments against Iran immediately, complete removal within 30 days, and remove its forces from the proximity of Iran within 30 days after the final deal.
Iran will use its best efforts to provide safe passage for commercial vessels through the Strait of Hormuz, restore traffic within 30 days, conduct demining and technical restoration, and discuss future administration of the Strait with Oman and other Gulf states.
The United States undertakes with regional partners to develop a mutually agreed plan of at least $300 billion for reconstruction and economic development of Iran.
The United States undertakes to terminate all sanctions against Iran, including U.N., IAEA-related, and unilateral U.S. sanctions, under a mutually agreed schedule.
Iran reaffirms it shall not procure or develop nuclear weapons; both parties agree to resolve enriched material stockpiles under an agreed mechanism with IAEA supervision and negotiate enrichment and nuclear-related issues in the final deal.
Pending the final deal, both parties will maintain the status quo: Iran will maintain its current nuclear posture, and the United States will impose no new sanctions and deploy no additional regional forces.
The United States will issue waivers allowing export of Iranian crude oil, petroleum products, derivatives, and associated financial, insurance, and transportation services.
The United States will make frozen or restricted Iranian funds and assets available for use and issue necessary licenses and authorizations for access and transfer.
The United States and Iran will establish an executive mechanism to monitor implementation of the MOU and future compliance with the final deal.
Following implementation of key provisions (paragraphs 1, 4, 5, 10, and 11), the parties will begin negotiations on the remaining provisions leading to a final agreement.
The final deal will be endorsed by a binding United Nations Security Council resolution.
