Punjab cannot afford to lose another opportunity for growth.

It is a matter of concern that 35 National Highway and Expressway projects are facing delays in Punjab for issues including land acquisition, utility shifting, law & order challenges and pending clearances.

Few examples are

Delhi–Amritsar–Katra Expressway only 27.5% complete.
Jalandhar Bypass: only 51% complete.
Phagwara–Hoshiarpur Highway: only 20% complete.
Hoshiarpur–Una Highway: just 26% complete.

Every delayed highway means fewer investments, higher logistics costs and missed employment opportunities. Punjab deserves better coordination and faster execution so that development reaches every district.

It was a privilege to receive Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi Ji on his arrival in Punjab and to share the dais with him during the inauguration and foundation stone laying of rail and road infrastructure projects worth over ₹5,470 crore, including the redeveloped Jalandhar Cantonment Railway Station.

The inauguration of modern Amrit Bharat Railway Stations at Jullundur , Anandpur Sahib, Mukatsar & new rail connectivity projects, and key road infrastructure initiatives like South Ludhiana Bypass and Delhi Amritsar Katra Highway will strengthen connectivity, boost tourism, facilitate trade, and create fresh economic opportunities
