I know many Russians think that ending the war in Ukraine and withdrawing completely would be a “total disaster and humiliation.” 🇷🇺🇺🇦

Well, look back at Nazi Germany.

They also had opportunities to end the war much earlier and probably keep at least some of their pride, Instead, they followed their deranged leader, Hitler, all the way to the end.

You know what happened next, right?

Hitler killed himself in a bunker, and Nazi Germany was forced to unconditionally surrender, giving back everything it had taken, and much more.

Don’t let your own Hitler put you in that position.

There is still time to avoid total disaster. Withdraw from what isn’t yours, end this war, and save what can still be saved, your country, your future, and whatever national pride remains.

Every day this war continues, the price Russia will eventually pay grows even higher.

Az egyik legnagyobb bűne a Fidesznek nem az, amit megtett, (bár azok is,) hanem az, amit 16 éven keresztül nem tett meg.

Július 17-én Baján már csak 19 centiméteres vízállást mértek, ma 14–15 centiméter körül járt a Duna. A Sugovica dunai mellékág, ezért a vízszintje közvetlenül együtt mozog a Dunáéval. A mostani kép látványos és sokkoló, de maga a probléma egyáltalán nem új.

A Fidesz felelőssége abban van, hogy 16 év alatt nem készítette fel megfelelően az országot arra a kiszáradásra, amelyről régóta pontosan lehetett tudni.

Az OECD 2026-os jelentése szerint Magyarország Európa egyik leginkább aszálynak kitett országa. Az elmúlt harminc évből 23 aszályos volt, és az Alföld 96 százalékán 10–30 százalékkal nőhet az aszályveszély 2050-ig. Vagyis ez nem valami váratlan természeti csapás, ami egyik napról a másikra szakadt ránk, hanem egy évtizedek óta előre jelzett folyamat.

Ehhez képest az Orbán-kormányok sokáig egy elavult, főként vízelvezetésre és árvízvédelemre épülő rendszert tartottak fenn, ahelyett hogy a vizet a talajban, a tájban, a mellékágakban és a vizes élőhelyeken tartották volna meg. Az OECD szerint a magyar vízügyi intézményrendszer még mindig a régi éghajlati viszonyokat tükrözi, rendszeresen átszervezték, és a vízvisszatartáshoz szükséges kapacitásai még mindig csak kialakulóban vannak.

Már a 2012-es nemzeti aszálystratégia is leírta, hogy a talajban és a tájban történő vízmegtartásra kellene átállni. Ehhez képest a kormány csak 2025-ben kezdett „azonnali” intézkedésekről beszélni. Tizenhárom évvel azután, hogy a saját stratégiájuk is kimondta, mit kellene csinálni.

Közben elhanyagolták a folyók, mellékágak, csatornák és vizes élőhelyek alkalmazkodását. A Sugovica töltésekkel körbezárt, erősen átalakított mellékág, ezért különösen érzékeny a Duna tartós apadására. Az ilyen rendszereknél nem elég akkor kapkodni, amikor már repedezik a meder.

Ehhez jön az elhibázott területhasználat és agrárpolitika. Magyarország területének 68 százaléka szántó, az Alföld egyes részein pedig közel háromnegyede. A nagyüzemi, intenzív művelés, a talajtakarás hiánya, a talajromlás és a vizes élőhelyek eltűnése mind gyorsítják a kiszáradást. Nemcsak az a baj, hogy kevesebb csapadék esik, hanem az is, hogy azt a keveset sem tudjuk rendesen megtartani.

A Fidesz hivatalosan nem tagadta a klímaváltozást. Orbán 2019-ben maga mondta, hogy aki szerint a klímaváltozás kommunista trükk, az nem normális. Csakhogy a szavak és a kormányzati gyakorlat között hatalmas szakadék volt.

A gyakorlatban a Fidesz éveken át halogatta az alkalmazkodást, rendszeresen támadta vagy felvizezte az uniós klímavédelmi intézkedéseket, 2020-ban nem támogatta az Európai Parlament szigorúbb, 60 százalékos 2030-as kibocsátáscsökkentési célját, 2019-ben pedig a fideszes képviselők el sem mentek a klímaváltozás miatt összehívott rendkívüli parlamenti ülésre. Közben a konkrét klímavédelmi intézkedéseket rendszeresen „brüsszeli zöldideológiának”, a gazdák és a családok elleni támadásnak állították be.

Magyarország a 2025-ös nemzetközi klímateljesítmény-értékelésben összességében alacsony minősítést kapott. Ez nem véletlen. Nem elég azt mondani, hogy a klímaváltozás létezik, ha közben nem alakítod át hozzá a vízgazdálkodást, a mezőgazdaságot, a területhasználatot és az infrastruktúrát.

Most pedig mindenki nézi a csaknem kiszáradt Dunát és a Sugovicát, mintha ez valami megmagyarázhatatlan csoda lenne.

Pedig nem az.

Az aszály természeti jelenség. Az, hogy Magyarország ennyire védtelenül áll vele szemben, politikai döntések és politikai mulasztások következménye.

A Fidesz 16 évig tudta, hogy az ország egyre szárazabb lesz, mégsem tette meg időben azt, amit már a saját szakmai anyagai is sürgettek.

Ez nem egyszerű hiba. Ez a Fidesz egyik főbűne.

Basically, Trump lied that Giorgia Meloni begged him for a picture during the G-7 meeting in France. He then went to further insult her, as he always does.

As for my popularity, being your friend certainly has not helped it, nor does it depend on my relationship with you. My popularity depends on my ability to defend Italy's national interest, and that is exactly what I have always done. That is also what I did regarding the American military bases in Italy. European democracies are on the verge of electing leaders who answer directly to Moscow.

The image of European politicians participating in Russia's flagship economic event should shock the conscience of the West. This event is a dark reminder of the immense danger looming over the continent.

The traditional pillars of European strength and stability, specifically France, Germany, and the UK, are at risk of being hijacked by political networks beholden to the Kremlin.

Preventing the National Rally, LFI, AfD, and Reform UK from winning the next round of elections is an absolute necessity for European security. Letting these parties take control would be a catastrophic failure that dissolves NATO solidarity and fractures the European Union from within. These movements are Trojan horses engineered to surrender Western leverage to the Kremlin.

Citizens in these countries need a massive wake-up call regarding the reality of their political choices. Voting for these organizations is not a harmless protest against the establishment. It is an act of betrayal against your own nation and the wider free world. It is a vote for Putin.

We must do a vastly superior job of fighting these parties on the political battlefield. Their deceptive messaging must be confronted at every turn, their funding sources must be investigated, and their lies must be utterly crushed by an informed and determined public

Yesterday, the Russian Duma approved a law allowing Putin to deploy Russian armed forces abroad under the excuse of “protecting” Russian citizens detained or prosecuted by foreign courts. Another dangerous step from a regime that feeds on fear, escalation and permanent conflict. Putin is not defending Russians: he is building a war-driven system that treats international law as an obstacle and diplomacy as weakness. Europe must never bow to this logic.

Before she can say anything else, she is arrested as well.

The irony is striking: even a woman who appears ready to defend pro-war views is detained without hesitation. In a system built on fear, the content of your opinion matters less than the fact that you are speaking independently.

This is what “freedom of speech” looks like in today’s russia.

Russian reports say that Robert Fico @RobertFicoSVK will attend Moscow’s parade this year. At a time when Europe is called to defend international law and democratic values, this is not neutrality. It is a message. And it is a dangerous one.
This is precisely the kind of moment that brings to mind the new Banksy sculpture that appeared yesterday morning in London: a figure marching forward, flag in hand, unaware of the edge beneath his feet. A powerful image of what happens when ideology replaces judgement, when patriotism becomes blind obedience, and when power exploits symbols to silence doubt.
Europe was built to overcome exactly this: to replace blind marches with conscious choices, flags used as weapons with shared values, and fear with cooperation. Europe must choose to walk with open eyes.

Mérhetetlenül nagyon csalódott vagyok már most az éppen alakuló Tisza kormányban és Magyar Péterben!
Én, mint hétköznapi Stockholm szindrómában tobzódó, egyszerűen vérlázító, hogy a kormányalakítás során a jól bevált kontraszelekciót és lojalitást felváltja a szakmaiság, és olyan személyek kapnak bizalmat, akik mélyreható ismeretekkel rendelkeznek a saját szakterületükön. Hát hogy képzelik ezt? Hol van itt a nepotizmus? Hát az uram-bátyám hagyománya?
Nem vagyok hozzászokva ahhoz, hogy Magyarország kormánypártja és miniszterelnöke szakértőkkel provokáljon. Mi lesz így a nemzeti dilettantizmussal és a dekadenciával?
Remélem azért lopni méltóztatnak majd....
