Identify a clear and obvious market trend (usually on the daily and 4H timeframe for me)
- If you get no obvious trend, STAY OUT
IF YOU GET ONE, THEN
- Mark out key levels of support and resistance that may cause reactions in price
- for an uptrend, mark out support and then wait for price to retrace towards areas of support for possible BUYS
- When price reaches your key levels, scale down to a lower tineframe and look for a chart pattern or price action where price shows exhausting volume, eg, a falling wedge or descending channel
- Wait for a candlestick confirmation at the apex (pointed end) for a wedge OR a double bottom at the end of the descending channel that shows strong buying volume-usually a bullish engulfing candle
- Always wait for the bullish candle to close, then place your trades, set your SL below the wicks of the wedge's low and your targets at the next obvious key level of resistance

You can always flip this for a Downtrend
