It's important to elevate the voices of those who are actually doing the work. I haven't been in a classroom in 6 years. My experience is not as relevant as those still there. I need to acknowledge that. And listen.
@AliceFa41743636 @tonnyef I got your PPT presentation, but would love the book for my students at Vines Primary School @ Aldine ISD, in Houston, TX! I am so enjoying your book, and listening to Rosetta Sharp singing the song!
Aldine’s amazing ILS library team in a CBPL all day today collaborating on best practices for engaging learners/readers. Aldine library team is the best! @AldineISD
This afternoon I had my photo taken outside my library with our superintendent, Dr. Goffney; Vines Primary is now the highest ranked of Aldine’s 12 primary schools, thanks to our ADSY schedule (additional days school year)

The average child asks 200-300 questions a day. So if an elementary school teacher has 20 students, they are asked a minimum of 4,000 questions a day… 4,000!
If your partner/spouse is an elementary school teacher, THIS is why they don’t want any questions when they get home.
