So, of course, the people who voted for the convicted felon MAGA presidential candidate who committed adultery several times, was found civilly liable for sexual abuse, was convicted of falsifying business records, was found liable for fraud, abused charities, broke up families, mocked the disabled, praised dictators, lied about an election, pressured officials to overturn votes, conducted revenge against political opponents, showed cruelty toward immigrants, attacked veterans, attacked judges, attacked journalists, and attacked grieving families while being openly corrupt, especially with hush-money payments, all while displaying constant religious hypocrisy, would vote for and defend Ken Paxton, a man who was indicted on securities fraud charges, impeached by the Republican-controlled Texas House, accused by his own senior aides of bribery and abuse of office, accused of using his office to help a wealthy donor, accused of accepting benefits tied to that donor, accused of trying to make taxpayers cover a whistleblower settlement, accused of retaliating against the whistleblowers who reported him, accused of carrying on an extramarital affair, and then turned around and wrapped himself in “family values” and “law and order” rhetoric like the rest of us are too stupid to notice the pattern.
