82 years ago, President Roosevelt signed the G.I. Bill into law, providing WWII veterans with a range of benefits for their heroic service—college tuition, job training, business loans, and assistance buying homes.
But in practice, Black veterans were denied these opportunities.
For example, only two of 3,229 VA-guaranteed home loans in 13 Mississippi cities in 1947 went to Black veterans, despite 38.5% of veterans in the state being Black.
.@RepMoulton and I have introduced the G.I. Bill Restoration Act to right this historical wrong.
The wealthy elite will fight tooth and nail against free college for two reasons:
1. it will be harder to fill the ranks of the military with poor people if college is free.
2. starting off workers with enormous debt is the greatest innovation that capitalism ever came up with
In the old USSR, people could be arrested for photographing bridges, tunnels, etc. A repressive and paranoid regime assumed the photographers must be spies and saboteurs. Americans laughed at such petty tyranny. Nothing like that could happen in their free country! Until now.
Again, 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. big White House, under construction. Doubles as a motocross park/fight club. Look for a comb-covered, thick ankled individual who speaks gibberish

With midterms approaching, Anti-Trump accounts keep seeing the same pattern while Elon turns this platform into a right-wing influence machine and calls it “free speech.”
You don’t need the exact line of code to recognize what’s happening when audience response holds up but reach gets quietly strangled.
This platform is manipulating visibility, and it’s getting harder to ignore who benefits.
"Initiating a criminal investigation in order to harass political opponents... is a blatantly unlawful and unethical use [of] the grand-jury process," — Judge Schiltz
It's a sad day when a judge has to tell the President he can't weaponize the govt against political opponents.

It's not just Trump who has made a fortune off the Presidency.
After Trump was reelected, Jared Kushner became a billionaire.
His estimated net worth is up roughly 1,440% since 2009—compared with ~160% for the average U.S. household.
