In memory of Vinnie RPD who served with @PoliceDogDorset from 2013 before retiring in 2018 with Degenerative Myelopathy. He enjoyed a happy retirement before passing away in June 2021. Please support other dogs like Vinnie and donate to @PawsomePensions https://t.co/VA64qTibXF
Finally got round to framing and hanging that lovely sketch of @VinnieRpd that my Mrs got for her birthday last year. Looks good under his canvas print.
#InternationalDogDay Here's a couple of pics of mine. @VinnieRpd (who would have been 9 today, bless him) and @rpdrebel who's been keeping us on our toes since June 🙂🐶🙂❤️
Stupidly tweeted on here instead of on @rpdrebel's twitter earlier. Many apologies. Although we did take Vinnie on the same walk we did today in Snowdonia around 2 years ago... here's pic of him from that day. Happy memories 💜
Thank you all so much for all your messages of condolence. People have said some lovely things about Vinne and my family. If you'd like to support other retired service dogs like Vinnie please make a small donation in his memory to @PawsomePensions. Dave.

He was a truly brilliant dog, putting in a great shift as both a police dog and our much loved family pet. He’ll always be missed. If you’d like to support other dogs like Vinnie, please make a donation to @PawsomePensions in his memory.
Sad news. 1/3
Today Vinnie went peacefully surrounded by those he loved. He could no longer move much unaided, even reaching his water bowl next to him was a struggle. His front legs were getting weaker, and he was struggling in his wheelchair, not really enjoying his walks.

Also his bladder had stopped working and his bowels were deteriorating too. It was like he kept going to make us happy and it just wasn't fair to ask that of him any more.
