The Vintage Tea Dance Orchestra: foxtrots, quicksteps, swing, waltzes & the odd tango. Vintage Festival veterans. Sextet, led by Paul Taylor @trombonepoetry
My local business of the week award goes to Bing Shropshire, who has been selling his jugs of tea in the Municipal Gardens for 45 years. 'The odd thing is,' confessed Bing, 64, 'is that I don't even like tea. I hate it. And I hate people.'
We wish him many more years of success.
Good morning Jason @Wickyma & its my pleasure. These may not be jazz musicians but maybe "Horns & Trombones" by John Cooper from 1932 might have been more up your grandfather's "street". #JohnCooper#ELG
The second post in this week's focus on objects in UK collections is a late-1920s painting depicting a tea dance, one of several pieces by Mabel Frances Layng held in the Shire Hall Gallery of Staffordshire Archives and Heritage. @StaffordshireCC
