Fashionable & Sustainable. A Social Enterprise. We use vintage clothing to tell stories, reduce isolation, learn new skills and have fun! And, lovely clothes.
I wore a top today to work that was my mum’s in the 60s. She dropped off my daughter tonight after school and I saw her immediately clock it and the sheer memory slide that passed her face was intense as she said, ‘I loved that top.’ 😭💕
Our vintage donations often came with stories. A beautiful 'mermaid' green top - bought in Carnaby Street, and worn to a dinner where Dame Margot was the guest of honour - always brought a tear or two to an audience. One day we'll write that book!
Lovely programme on BBC4 - Margot Fonteyn on ballet. Not only is there some captivating footage, Fonteyn herself is the epitome of elegant chic, appearing in a series of impeccable, crisp separates & delivering to the camera as gracefully as she dances.
If I were the head of MI5 and meeting up with shady agents and gazing seriously across the Thames, this is the coat I would wear complete with the black gloves and a mysterious half smile almost hidden by the high collar. #Balenciaga, 1963 #thekyotocostumeinstitute
We LOVE Welsh Pants!
This project has been a joy. A reminder we can all play a part in bringing skilled manufacturing jobs back to the UK and building a more vibrant, fairer local economy.

An inspiration to so many - designers, makers, and wearers! The Mary Quant name is synonymous with style and fun. Thanks for everything Mary. Go well. ❤️
A sad day today with the news of the passing of Mary Quant. A towering figure in British dress history, her name defined the look of a generation. RIP Dame Mary Quant (1930-2023).

Wondering how many dresses are in the wardrobes of Newtown?! So many clever seamstresses, making such beautiful, quality, clothes. #nostalgic#LauraAshley#vintage
Laura Ashley and husband Bernard Ashley started Ashley-Mountney Ltd in 1953 as a small screenprinting business that they ran from their home. After the move to Wales, the company expanded and moved to larger building. The first true Laura Ashley dresses were made in 1966.
