@Garrett95937010@Xfactor83x@SteveRattner For some twisted reason, too many here in the US treat guns as an extension of their masculinity and essentially celebrate them instead of respecting them as the tools they are. You never see guys posing for pics with table saws.
@STOConnor3 @dayton_danita @FoxNews Please do not misconstrue my criticism of the @FoxNews tweet with support of the school program. I just don't like how @FoxNews frames the tweet to elicit a response. However, even standard health/sex Ed classes require parent letters so I imagine this definitely does.
@TimSorenson9@FoxNews I've taught in a public school for nineteen years, and these things are still very much taught in our schools. Keep in mind, the expectations on current students are far higher than they were in previous generations. These @FoxNews stories are anecdotal. Be well.
@dayton_danita @FoxNews B/c @FoxNews wants you to be outraged & fill in the "missing pieces" from the headline. Not a public school. Not an English class. The program can be opted out of. But that requires reading the article, and ironically @FoxNews is hoping few do that, and instead just get angry.
@TimSorenson9@FoxNews It's a private school and not public. This is not in an English class. The parents are aware and can opt kids out. Please read the article before virtue signaling the outrage, and then be part of a legitimate discussion on whether or not you agree.
@RyLazChi @Dblplay3@kourtneelynne@POTUS Something else to factor is in the increased responsibility and scope of work schools are responsible for that didn't exist in the 1960s. Increased scope of school responsibility (ELL programs, Special Ed, etc) = more expense.
@Halanbre1_@Aczar1Alan@SenWarren As far as Ukraine, our support is similar to our support of opposition forces pushing back Soviet influence in the 80s under Reagan. How we aid Ukraine can be debated, but how can we espouse sovereignty and freedom and not support allies who are inexcusably invaded?
@Halanbre1_@Aczar1Alan@SenWarren That argument goes both ways. Dems spent it on ACA which was a domestic policy as were various rescue packages passed by both Biden and Obama. Whataboutism is fun and all but this is a whole government problem.
