Wife, mother, farmer, christ-follower, who is passionate about people and loves to help people realise their potential and become a better version of themselves
Every mother dreams of giving her children a better future. For Rita, that dream meant finding a way to provide for her family despite the many challenges she faced along the way.
Through the support raised at last year's Watoto Golf Tournament, Rita received a business boost that is helping her create new opportunities for herself and her children.
This is Rita's story.
Rita is a mother of four, who wants to give her children a better chance at life than she originally had. As a child, Rita had to drop out of school in Primary Two to start working. Later, after separating from her children’s father, she struggled to provide for her kids and tried to make ends meet by washing people’s clothes in her community.
But in 2022, Rita encountered the love of Jesus at Watoto Neighbourhood. Here, she received business classes, discipleship training, and a community of supporters who wanted God’s best for her.
Rita happily exclaimed, “I now run a small business from home, selling various items like sweets, charcoal, yellow bananas, onions, tomatoes, eggs, and ladies’ dresses.”
She added that with the startup boost she received from the Watoto Golf Tournament, her business has grown and she can now pay rent, care for her children, and provide medical support for her family.
We are so thankful for the miracle God is doing in Rita’s life.
Hope On The Green is about creating opportunities for vulnerable mothers to build sustainable businesses and provide for their families.

@MultiplexUganda your staff are heartless, unjust and inhumane, how do you clamp a car in front of the bank with a person sitting in it? You talk about a road reserve that only your staff can identify, those fines you collect will come to an end. Life is much more than money
@MultiplexUganda Your staff are heartless, unjust and inhumane, who clamps a car parked in front of a bank in a road reserve only your staff can be able to identify? In addition to the fact that you actually find the person sitting in the car. Those fines you collect will definitely choke you.

But let’s be honest…
Is farming really about buying the most expensive equipment, or about maximizing profit?
If a locally fabricated cage can do the job and save you thousands of cedis, why not?
Day one was very successful! We congratulate all the graduating students and the entire @Makerere University on the 76th graduation ceremony! To God be all the glory!🙏

Overcoming debt is a slow, intentional journey. You don’t escape it by rushing or borrowing more, you do it by paying off small portions consistently, adjusting your lifestyle, and staying disciplined. Every payment, no matter how small, weakens the debt’s grip. @NButeraba shares more in this clip.
