Face à la situation migratoire à Ceuta, j’ai été en contact avec le Président du gouvernement espagnol pour marquer notre solidarité et proposer toute aide nécessaire, y compris via Frontex.

Je salue la coopération en cours avec le Maroc, qui a déjà permis aujourd’hui plus de 40 000 retours de Ceuta vers le Maroc.

Les ministres de l’Intérieur sont en contact pour assurer un suivi étroit de la situation.

Ceuta ne bénéficie pas de la libre circulation vers le reste de l’espace Schengen. J’ai toutefois demandé dès hier au Ministre de l’Intérieur de renforcer les contrôles à notre frontière avec l’Espagne si cela devait être nécessaire : 4 unités de forces mobiles, des avions et des drones sont déployés.

Ces mesures viennent renforcer les dispositions que nous avons prises depuis 2020 pour mieux protéger notre frontière avec l’Espagne en étroite coordination, avec des brigades communes et une action conjointe de lutte contre l’immigration clandestine.

Ces mesures viennent compléter les instruments européens adoptés pour assurer les retours et appliquer le pacte asile et migrations, avec 25% de chute des flux irréguliers vers l’Union européenne l’an dernier et une baisse poursuivie sur les routes migratoires atlantique et de Méditerranée occidentale en 2026.

Solidarité et responsabilité avec nos partenaires européens pour faire appliquer nos règles de fermeté en matière de retours et de protection des frontières extérieures de l’Union.

The official line is that unemployment is low. Walk through any English town on a Wednesday afternoon and it doesn't look like a country that's working.
