Violet The Vole

Hi, I'm Violet The Vole, official spokesvole and if I may say the most glamorous member of @CitizenZoo. Follow me to learn more about my fascinating family.

Best get defrosting dinner for tonight, I suppose.

"I'm not eating the Christmas food" he says, "I'm getting ready for the cold weather".

I don't know why I bother.

Ooh it's got parky hasn't it.

Are the fireworks over yet? I've had to restart my audiobook six times and I've completely lost track of where I am now.

[Violet The Vole @VioletTheVole]

It's definitely soup season. I've had the kids out all day gathering food for the larder.

I'm not one to cast aspersions but the lot at number 57 are living beyond their means if you ask me. It's a bit much.

[Violet The Vole @VioletTheVole]

This is outrageous. Does anyone have the phone number of the editor at BBC Wildlife Magazine!?

I've never been so embarrassed.

😡😡😡

If you really must watch footage of humans then you can start at 5:49 but I'd advise starting at 7:18 where you'll see much more attractive creatures.

I do my own hair and makeup by the way.

We're thrilled to have had our water vole #rewilding work featured in this mini documentary about climate change and nature loss, check it out at 5.4mins in! https://t.co/PPto7ea5qj

Goodnight, Ma'am.

[Violet The Vole @VioletTheVole]

People often say to me "Violet, as well as being humble and beautiful you do so much for the community" and it's true, though I don't like to brag.

Here I am giving directions to the nearest Co-Op for one of the other new residents. #communitycoordinator #allinadayswork

Once again, BBC Wildlife, there is nothing "common" about us 😤😤😤

[Violet The Vole @VioletTheVole]

Right, that's it, everything is packed including most of the kids. See you all soon!

[Violet The Vole @VioletTheVole]

Well, there's nothing like making me feel old. Thanks Twitter.

Why do they always snap me when I'm eating?

Occasionally I'm drinking a glass of wine.

The hubby suggested as we're running out of viable names, we call one of the next litter "Boris".

He didn't feel quite as funny when the newspaper came flying at his head.

I've finally rounded up all the kids and now we're packing... That should take at least another month 🙄

I left the kids outside Londis for three hours once before I wondered where they were. No judgement from me, motherhood does things to your brain.

[Wildlife Aid @wildlifeaid]

Found on a farm, these adorable short-tailed #voles arrived with us, as sadly no trace could be found of their nest or #parents!
Luckily, none of them were injured, so they were handed over to Myra, one of our longest-serving #volunteer orphan carers.

I beg your pardon, @Natures_Voice? Betrayed by a what?
