"I scored 96% in JEE Main, yet couldn't get into IIT Delhi. My friend scored 79% and got in."
A student voices his frustration at the CJP protest: "Why is no one talking about reservation?"
@RitikaChandola
Dear General Category students, if you are going to the student protest at Jantar Mantar, keep one placard written “Ban Reservation” in your hand.
This is your time to raise your voice against reservation. Stand together and make your voice heard.
Let us speak up for equal opportunities and a fair system for every student.
If you believe in merit and equality, this is the time to stand up and be heard.
You all are okay with someone getting a seat even after scoring 50 while a student who scored 90 is forced to take drop cause that student didn’t get their dream college. You can’t ask for fair education if you support this sick system. Fair education = no reservation.
If you talk about a fair and impartial education system, then first remove reservation....
Otherwise, all your protests are driven only by dirty politics....
END RESERVATION FUCK RESERVATION 🔥🔥
Fun fact :
10 years back
My friend and I sat in the same college classroom, when I scored 85% marks and he just scores 54% marks but i paid 55000 Rs. in fees while he paid just 4000 Rs.
Today he’s posting on Instagram saying,
”The education system is unfair” 💀
My appeal to all General category students participating in CJP & other protests across India:
Demand reform of the Reservation policy.
60-70% Reservation is the biggest issue impacting hardworking & meritorious students.
Raise the issue in your CJP groups. Ask the leaders. Ask the politicians coming to these protests in the name of "fair education." Make videos. Post on social media.
This is the best opportunity to bring the biggest issue in India's education system into the mainstream.
If these protests are truly about students and educational reform, this issue cannot be ignored.
Glimpse of 2012 Nirbhaya Protest:
No govt in the past 79 years of Independence has allowed it, and no govt in our lifetime will ever allow an uncontrolled mob of tens of thousands of people to march on Parliament.
Police action will always be taken. The Supreme Court has given guidelines about this.
So when a movement leader asks you to participate in a protest at Parliament, know that they want you at Parliament so you are beaten by the police instead of them. And their agenda will be further intensifies because of it.
Even if BJP asks you in future to participate in March to Parliament, know that the reason is same.
The reservation debate has started gaining momentum in Maharashtra. It was Uddhav Thackeray's Shiv Sena that faced the heat. She asked a very genuine question, but nobody had an answer regarding a fair education policy.
One good thing is people has started discussing it publically.
First time I've seen someone speak so openly and aggressively against the caste-based reservation system on live television. Well done boy.
Will Abhijit Dipke raise this issue too? He claims to be fighting for students and this is a student issue as well. But he won't, because he doesn't actually care about students.
