@IndiaMFA Myself and my family hold OCI for past 13 years. I am yet to see any benefits of it within India. No agency consider it as a legal document that can be used as an identity. We still have to carry old passport with a visa stamp !Why did I go through of hassle to get OCI?

@FinMinIndia 2 of 2. IT is holding 1.86 lac refund with the excuses such as my local phone is not linked to my KYC (we use US numbers as local phone is temp.), & PAN Card, I don’t have Aadhar card (- I am not from Bangladesh 😂)etc. None of this was required when they cut TDS !!

@FinMinIndia 1 of 2. I am Indian born,have OCI and PAN Card. I bought a flat in 2009 with bank check and lawn from SBI. I sold my land in Sept22 with all legal procedure and received the money via check after significant amount was held back for TDS. IT was to refund some of it
