The Virginia Spaceport Authority on Wallops Island supports a wide range of launch vehicles and mission profiles through its four launch pads and integration facilities. These capabilities allow for a flexible, low-congestion, and safety-focused launch environment.
It was a great pleasure to host @NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman at MARS. During the visit VSA CEO Ted Mercer highlighted the investments over the years to grow Virginia's launch capacity and support commercial space operations and national security space objectives.
OTD in 2014, our spaceport made history with the first contracted ISS cargo resupply mission, Orbโ1. The mission carried the Cygnus spacecraft and delivered more than 2,700โฏpounds of supplies to the ISS. Congratulations to the teams whose dedication made this milestone possible!

VSA participated in the 2025 Hokkaido Space Summit, held in Obihiro, Hokkaido, Japan, on October 9-10. The event brought together global leaders from the aerospace, government, and industry sectors to foster international cooperation and innovation in space.
OTD: October 17 marks two major milestones for the Virginia Spaceport Authority and the Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport (MARS). In 2016, the OA-5 ISS resupply mission launched from MARS Pad-0A, marking the fifth successful Antares mission since 2013.
