Why am I a Larry?

I keep seeing this discourse that because Harry and Louis are two rich, white men that they either can’t be closeted or are choosing to be closeted.
What if it’s neither of those options- what if they are still closeted by contract? What if as Rebecca Ferguson said the contract that they signed (just like her) last for 20+ years?
What if like Katie Waisel said that each subsequent contract must still honour the first?
What if, like other celebrities, they aren’t able to come out because so many variables are in play and because if they did come out so many people would be implicated in closeting them?
What if, like Julian Morris, and Dan and Phil and Lance Bass and others who have been forcibly closeted- they aren’t closeted by choice?
Closeting isn’t something anyone chooses. It’s something that people are coerced, manipulated or given no choice in.
Closeting is a form of abuse and making out that just because someone is rich and famous they can’t be closeted is both naive at best, and ignorant at worst.
Do better people.
Closeting isn’t a joke and even if you are still in the closet you are still valid, still loved and still part of the queer community.
This shouldn’t even need to be said.
